My current research interests include computational biology (e.g., small RNA gene prediction using computational intelligence, RNA folding algorithms, visualization of RNA secondary structure based on VR technology, and systems biology), complex network theory (e.g., small-world and scale-free echo state network, complexities behavior analysis of Internet, congestion phase transition, cellular automaton modeling, and self-organizing evolving process), computational intelligence and machine learning (e.g., neuo-fuzzy inference system, fuzzy reinforcement learning method, evolutionary computing, heuristic dynamic programming, HMM, and SCFG), virtual reality (VR) (e.g., general-purpose VR development toolkit, sports-type VR game, and other VR applications), and wireless sensor network (e.g., intelligent home).
